The City Council affirms that it is working "side by side" with the Ministry to approve the PGE

The Councilor for Territory of the Dénia City Council, Maria Josep Ripoll, maintains that from the consistory they are "very worried" for the urbanism of the city. Some statements made in collation of those discharged by the ten business and neighborhood groups that last Monday said that the City Council is not interested in approving the Transitory Urban Regulations.

According to Ripoll, the NUT needs to be able to process licenses and normalize the urban situation in Dénia, but affirms that "They can be a problem because their current version is quite incompatible with the General Structural Plan" where the City Council is working.

For the local government the priority is to approve the PGE with the collaboration of the Ministry, with those who affirm that they are working "side by side" to enable the document to go forward, a document that believes in a more sustainable model than the current one and that proposed by the NUT.

Maria Josep Ripoll recalled that "The current urban situation has not been caused by us", and that his team is working on getting the approval of the General Structural Plan of the city. In this regard, the councilor has affirmed that "soon we will have news".
