03 October 2016 - 00: 30

Since mid-September, alcorques and planters of the Town Hall Square are changing their physiognomy. This summer the City Council removed the artificial turf from the remodeling of the square in 2011, decorated the gardens, and for a couple of weeks working on installing a new decor.

Installation work paving stones in boxes

This is a more rustic decor that comes from the history of the square: the cobblestones until remodeling were part of that very particular pavement. Now, these old pieces are being placed in boxes with a key objective, avoid dirt and odors generated by the artificial turf.

As he explained Councilman Parks and Gardens, Josep CrespoThis measure has been taken to respond to requests from neighbors who complained about the smell especially canine orín generated by the old lawn. The councilman explained that the association of hoteliers Aehtma supported this request as a matter of health.

It seems that nothing is done without the approval of the Hospitality Association.
Maybe that's why we sidewalks, plazas and promenades permanently occupied by tables and chairs for the greater benefit of hoteliers and detrimental to the quality of life of all citizens and also with derisory pay fees when they are not exempt.
