The City Council of Dénia reinforces the resources to facilitate the processing of direct aid Parèntesi to self-employed and micro-businesses

February 18 from 2021 - 09: 41

The City Council of Dénia has adhered to the Parèntesi aid line promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana to help the self-employed and micro-enterprises in the sectors most affected by the restrictions derived from the pandemic. 2.290.020 euros correspond to Dénia, which will be provided between the Generalitat Valenciana (62,5%), the Alicante Provincial Council (22,5%) and the Dénia Town Hall, which will contribute 15% of the total, that is , 343.503 euros, already contemplated in its budget for 2021.

The Local Government Board has approved the bases of these grants that will be managed from the town hall. The deadline to request them will be 15 business days from their publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante, scheduled for next week.

Mayor, Vicent Grimalt, has highlighted the "extra effort" made from the City Council of Dénia so that the aid and all the information related to it reaches the largest number of people, "since it is a priority for this government team to help the most affected sectors for this pandemic ”.

The dissemination actions began a few weeks ago with the launch of an information service attended by Creama Dénia that sends all updates on the aid to whoever joins a mailing list by email. Applications for incorporation have already reached 125, as mentioned by the mayor.

The email ajudaempreses@ayto-denia.es has also been enabled where you can request information on the possibility of postponement of settlements with the town hall, an important aspect if one takes into account that to be a beneficiary of Parèntesi aid, Among others, it is essential that the applicant is up-to-date in complying with their tax and Social Security obligations. Applicants who have debts, but have duly requested the postponement, may also appear at the call.

And today the guide with useful information has been presented to request the aid that the City Council of Dénia has prepared and that will be available from tomorrow on its website www.denia.es. The Councilor for Economic Services, Paco Roselló, has reviewed the main requirements set out in the bases of the call and that can be consulted in this guide.

The self-employed and micro-enterprises with a maximum of 10 workers who carry out the activity in Dénia, La Xara and Jesús Pobre can apply for Parèntesi aid. As has already been said, they must be up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations and be currently in operation.

Regarding the amount of aid, Roselló has indicated that a maximum of 2.000 euros will be granted per self-employed person or micro-company and an additional amount of 200 euros for each worker affiliated with Social Security as of December 31, 2020. With everything , each applicant may receive a maximum aid of 4.000 euros.

As for which expenses are eligible, the bases establish that those current expenses incurred between April 1, 2020 and the date of application for aid. As examples, leasing expenses of the commercial premises, in supplying electricity, water, gas and communications, interest expenses on mortgages linked to the commercial establishment or personnel expenses in salaries, salaries and Social Security contributions.

The submission of applications will be carried out exclusively electronically, through the electronic headquarters of the Dénia Town Hall (https://oac.denia.es) and will be managed as they are presented, said Roselló. To speed up the process, the city council is going to temporarily assign 10 workers from various municipal departments to reinforce the workforce in charge of processing aid.

Once all the requirements of the applicants have been verified, the Local Government Board will decide the granting of the aid and the amount of each one.

The mayor of Economic Services has raised that two possible scenarios can be presented. On the one hand, that the number of applications submitted is greater than the 2.290.000 euros of aid corresponding to Dénia, in which case this global amount will be apportioned among the beneficiaries so that no one is left without help. At the other extreme, it may happen that the number of applications is less than the amount of aid. In this case, Roselló explained, the surplus would be used to expand the call to other sectors of activity also affected by the pandemic, following the recommendation of the Generalitat Valenciana.

Discount on rates

Finally, Grimalt has underlined that the city council will continue providing the aid that is possible to the economic sectors that are suffering the most from the effects of the health crisis. In this sense, it has indicated that it will give continuity to economic aid for companies and freelancers in the sectors of commerce, hospitality, tourism and other activities consisting of the discount in the payment of garbage collection and occupation rates. public road.

As in 2020, the public road occupancy rate will be calculated based on the days on which the occupation has been effective and will be settled at the end of the year.
