The Councilor for Equality of the City of Dénia, Javier Scotto, has presented this morning the program around International Women's Day, which far from staying in a single day, that of March 8, will occupy more than one with sports, cultural and educational activities with the intention of "tear down walls and break chains".
Scotto has highlighted the social involvement of the city of Dénia, pointing out that equality is a matter of women, men, each of the councils, entities and groups.
The program will start on February 20 and will last until March 26, the strong days being 5 with the demonstration and 9, which hosts the official act of the 8M municipal corporation at the end of this Sunday, where the first students will be honored of the Adult Education Center of Dénia.
The councilor said that they must continue to insist and work for the equality of women in society. "The feminism and equality of March 8 does not mean that women have more power over men, but that they have power and freedom of decision over themselves".
