Enrique Curt, director of the Regatta, explained that the Route of the Salt continues being a reference of the regattas of height, and that it is a school of navigation where they fraternize "Those who do it for the first time, like the regulars in this appointment of the nautical spring, with the great attraction of setting course for Ibiza".

Itinerary

The Salt Route is disputed on the basis of three different routes to Sant Antoni de Portmany in Ibiza: The Barcelona Version has a route of 140 miles from Port Ginesta to Sant Antoni.

The Dénia version of 120 miles that forces Formentera to turn to port, the Island of Tagomago and navigate the north coast of Ibiza, to the finish line.

The Mallorca version from Puerto De Andratxt to Sant Antoni de Portmany, leaving the Tagomgo, Formentera, Es Vedrá, Bledas and Conejera islands on the starboard side. In total 103 competition miles. In addition, Mini-East Sal with shortened route from Dénia to Sant Antoni with direct course, for crews who want to start in high-altitude regattas.

Since its first edition, 32 has been sailing for The Route of the Salt 6.080 boats manned by 39.500 sailors, and 8.480 competition miles have been covered. The figures give an idea of ​​the magnitude of this event that, apart from its sports benefits, has become an excellent promoter of nautical tourism for Ibiza and a clear booster of high seas sailing in our country.
