Duffin Dagels 2º celebrates its anniversary and to celebrate in Denia.com We talked to Alicia Hernández, owner of the establishment, to see first hand how they have been these two years of business and discover what it means experience Duffin Dagels.
How came the idea of opening Duffin Dagels?
The idea came from a trip with my husband. For a long time we had wanted to do something different, to have our own business. Our daughters had grown up, so we thought it was time, investigating we found this franchise and we went to visit several franchisees.
What prompted you to start your own business?
The type of business we liked a lot, not only because of the quality of its products but also because of the variety it offered in coffees, iced teas, cold drinks, breakfasts ... We saw that it was a different product than what there was until now and We thought it would be a good idea as a business.
How would you define the experience of these two years?
Acceptance of the people was very good, we never imagined that I had so popular. Sometimes remembering the first few months we laughed, it was crazy, spent many hours in the cafeteria, we knew nothing about hospitality so we started from scratch. I remember the coffee was full of cafes and chops to write a message to all staff saying "The coffee is your smile at her friend and do not be afraid". It was tough, but worth it just to see our customers happy.
The experience of these two years has been very positive, not only have been increasing customers, day by day, if not we have formed with many a large family, are customers who come every day and that's what makes us more happy. When dealing with people is going very well because it's a fun product. It is a product that people like.
What is your inspiration when creating the Duffins?
The franchise will normally transmits role models but also says you can vary. There are models that must always be, Kitkat, Oreo .. but others can make changes. According seasons we have specific products such as children's films that inspired us to create original Duffins. When you see that children are attracted to something you have to put it. They have a job behind worthwhile to cheer up the children. Also for holidays like Valentine, where we had many orders and we ourselves with chocolate molds.
There are people who do not know that in addition to duffins you have more product variety, such as homemade crepes ...
Of course, our homemade crepes are made by ourselves, they are our recipe. We cook the dough every two days, it is a freshly made dough. In the case of the dough, at first we created it for coeliacs in our house, because my daughter is celiac, and we have adapted the measures to create our homemade crepes with wheat flour.
How would you describe the experience Duffin Dagels?
When customers enter the local experience Duffin Dagels begins with the area of the Duffins and bandejeros. They also highlight the experience of good coffee, glad they have found a place with good coffee. Duffin Dagels is not just a place where you can buy Duffins, you can have breakfast, you can take a good tea, cappuccino, hot chocolate, pies in the cold months in the summer and ice cream. The experience was wonderful to discover that there is only Duffins, but find many more products to enjoy.
