Two residents of Dénia participate in a race through the Moroccan desert for solidarity

The residents of Dénia Gaspar Ruiz and Román Cholbi will have before it a challenge for solidarity: will participate next March in solidarity raid Maroc Challenge, a sporting event that runs through the Moroccan desert and whose aim is that participants collaborate with a worthy cause 2.300 kilometers after crossing deserts and mountains of the Alawite kingdom.

Thanks to the collaboration of several entities, adventurers will carry school supplies provided by the AMPA, faculty and students of the school Montgó; sunglasses and graduated sight thanks to Natural Optics of Villajoyosa and materials donated by individuals as a wheelchair and medical supplies. In addition, all school students can write their name in the logo of the team and make a drawing that will take together with the material.

These contributions will be managed by Altair Cooperation, the NGO of the Maroc Challenge, which aims to promote projects of an educational, health and promotion of micro businesses in the most depressed areas of Morocco.

Gaspar and Román form the Tronquet 71 4x4 team and will participate with a Mitsubishi Montero DID with a 3200cc engine of 165cv, registered in the year 2000. According to the protagonists themselves, "The Maroc Challenge in addition to a great personal challenge, are eager to launch into the unknown at the competition level. We will give 100% and try to do our best."

Both personally manage the paperwork career and acknowledge that "Participating in the Maroc Challenge will be a training and enriching experience in terms of experiences."

This solidarity competition will start from Jumilla (Murcia) next March 19 and 26 end on Saturday at Kariat Arkmane.
