Two police unions accuse the Chief Inspector of increased crime and lack of protection for citizens

19 June 2017 - 00: 30

The police unions CEP and UFP of the Province of Alicante have wanted to rebut the version of the Professional Union of Police on the situation that is being lived in the Police Station of National Dentistry. These two unions, conveners of the concentration of the next 22 of June to the 10 of the morning in front of the facilities of the National Police, affirm that Antonio Cabeza has obtained "reduce Citizen Security in the town of Denia to a minimum, with the consequent risk of increased crime and lack of protection of citizens".

According to a statement sent to the media, "The mismanagement of personal resources has led to the increase in crime in Denia in the last two years according to police statistics, which is reflected in the annual Directorate for Objectives (DPO), where the Denia Police Station has been both in recent years, 50% of the objectives, being the worst percentages in the province ".

They also assert that "there is pressure for agents to increase sanctions and identifications to citizens" and that "Many nights and weekends, the city patrols a single car and they have to refer emergency calls to the Local Police, or as has happened recently, they have to send cars from other parts of the Province, because there are days when there are no radio patrols at the Dénia Police Station ".

Both unions denounce "the unfortunate third world state" In which the facilities of the National Police in Dénia are located, stating that "The Head of the Denia Police Station is responsible for requesting the renovation of the furniture and who does not request it".

Beat the claims of the Professional Police Union

Regarding the statements of the Professional Police Union, the representatives of these two unions consider that "They wanted to divert the attention of the Dianenses talking about black sheep and mixing this concentration with the arrest of two policemen in October 2016 for allegedly appropriating the effects and drugs, reprehensible facts, of becoming condemned. Although these police are not affiliated with any of the unions calling for the CEP and UFP protest and therefore nothing has to do ".

Other statements that rebut is that "It is also not true that the policemen sleep at the police station leaving Denia without patrols. Mr. Antonio and the SPP have preferred to dirty the image of the Denia Police group so as not to assume responsibility for the malfunction of the police station".

Misuse of the official car

Police syndicates also denounce "the misuse of a camouflaged official car, which he uses for his private life, paying the taxpayer for his private travel. According to the regulations of the DGP, the only person entitled to availability of an official vehicle is the Commissioner
Principal, Provincial Head of Alicante "
.

Bad working environment

The accusations of the unions CEP and UFP do not remain there. Their representatives denounce bad work environment at the police station. Affirm that "One of the consequences of the bad work environment that exists in the Denia Police Station, was the request on March 20 of this year by the unions calling for the concentration, a psychosocial evaluation, which is under study and it would serve to assess the degree of stress or burnout and therefore the ability to adversely affect the health of workers ".

They also denounce the "decision of Mr. Antonio Cabeza to stop meeting with the unions, which has worsened even more if the situation fits and that leaves without complaints and suggestions from the Police are transmitted to them through the union representatives".

Apparently, such is the bad work environment that "It leads many police and sub-inspectors to request a change of destination despite the attractiveness of this town, which creates a deficit of officials".

Therefore, next Thursday, at 10 in the morning, its representatives will concentrate in front of the gates of the police station to demand the removal of Antonio Cabeza as Chief Inspector of the workforce.
