Two weeks without any new case of coronavirus in the Marina Alta

11 June 2020 - 12: 34

According to the data updated today by the Ministry of Health, in the Dénia health department, on which all the Marina Alta, not a single case of coronavirus has been registered with PCR tests in the last 14 days. In addition, since April 28, almost a month and a half ago, not a single positive death has been registered in the region.

For two weeks the number of infections in the region has been stagnant in 196, most of them in Dénia (116 according to the latest updates, although it should be borne in mind that the hospital center is located in that municipality). This is more than good news since the incubation period for the virus is normally 14 days and therefore the de-escalation between phases is done with fortnightly evaluations.

What does it mean that there are no new positives? Well, the de-escalation measures are working. At least in our region, where little by little the coronavirus is disappearing. Of course, we should not trust that once the mobility restrictions are over, we will be exposed again, depending not only on our numbers of infections, but we must be aware of how it evolves nationally and internationally. Therefore, it is necessary to continue complying with the protection measures until there is a vaccine.

Or does it also mean that the winter season is over, and therefore the infections that occur every year as well… will this ever be investigated?

We don't have an AIDS vaccine after 35 years. Will the measurements be forever?
