Two dianenses restaurants opt to win the II International Competition Red Gamba de Dénia

Less than a week of celebration at the Mercat Municipal II International Competition of Creative Cuisine Red Gamba de DéniaThe jury has released the names of the finalists 8 5 Tuesday March live cook their recipes using red shrimp.

The jury for the preselection has been formed by the Councilor for Tourism, Pepa Font; Fernando González, chief kitchen director of the El Raset Group Restoration; José López, head chef at the restaurant Peix i Brases and winner of the first contest; Mena Diego Larrosa, restaurant manager Ore and Rafael Soler, restorer and director of the competition.

On Tuesday at the 9: 30 will begin the contest with the distribution of the numbers to the participants, who will have three hours to cook their dishes. From the 12: 30, and at intervals of 10 minutes, each participant must present their plate in the order established by the numbers.

The jury will taste the recipes in a tent to be installed in Magallanes Street and around the 14 hours will be announced the names of the three best dishes. They will receive a sculpture by Toni Marí 1.000 euros plus 1º Prize winner; 500 the second prize and 300 euros for the remaining third.

This year the jury is once again chaired by the maximum ambassador of Dénia and its cuisine around the world, Quique Dacosta. He will be joined by journalist Julia Pérez, José Carlos Capel, director of gastronomic congress Madrid Fusion; Quico Moya, the Michelin star restaurant 1 La Escaleta; and Lluis Ruíz, gourmet editor in several national newspapers.

The names of the finalists were presented by the Councilor for Tourism, Pepa Font, restaurateur Diego Mena and the organizer of the contest, Rafa Soler. Councilwoman recalled that this event is part of the brand "Dénia, city of gastronomy".
