Two sailors from the Marina el Portet CD rise to the podium in the Formula Kite Spain Series in Cuenca

Two sailors from Club Deportivo Marina El Portet, the Valencian Alex Climent and the Dianense Kiko Peiró, have been in the swamp of Alarcón, in Cuenca, to compete for three days in the Formula Kite Spain Series circuit that was played at the beginning of June. The two sailors climbed to the podium. Climent was champion, while Peiró got the bronze.

Flat water and a constant wind became ideal conditions for the practice of this sailing discipline that is about to become an Olympic discipline. At Formula Kite Spain Series Alarcón 2019 23 national and international sailors participated.

The Valencian regatta adds to his record of current national champion the victory of the Formula Kite Spain which earned him to receive a check valued at 400 euros, among other gifts. Climent got five first places and a quarter that took him to the top of the podium.

For his part, the young Kiko Peiró of 16 years flew over the waters of the reservoir, being one of the fastest sailors of the day, which together with a well-marked strategy, served him to sign two second places, three third and one fourth, that position him in the fourth position of the general Formula Kite Spain Series. Peiró also won a prize of 100 euros.
