Agents of the National Police of the Dénia Police Station have arrested two people of Lithuanian nationality as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons and fraud of electricity, intervening slightly more than 288 kilos of marijuana in a plantation indoor installed inside a luxurious villa in the area of les Rotes from the town of Dénia.
The presence of a person who never left home and who apparently did not develop any work activity with which to maintain the luxurious home in which he resided alerted the neighborhood who communicated his suspicions to the agents of the Dénia National Police Station .
Quickly, the members of the Judicial Police carried out the first investigations, the 400-meter house with a plot of more than 800 seemed inhabited by two men who came out of it the essentials. The building was surrounded by large air conditioners that had been camouflaged in small cabins of
wood that mimicked construction so as not to attract attention.
When checking the electricity consumption, a clandestine outlet connected to the network was detected with a demand power between ten and fifteen times higher than that of a normal house. All this coupled with the fact that the aforementioned air conditioners were in continuous operation regardless of the outside temperature, with the sound of an air extractor incompatible with that of a domestic hood being heard uninterruptedly, only confirmed the suspicions that the agents were in front of an alleged marijuana plantation of the type indoor.
From that moment on, a police device of discreet surveillance was established that managed to fully identify the two inhabitants of the house.
Once identified, a special operation was carried out in which both were arrested and the home was searched where a plantation was located. indoor of marijuana with more than 850 plants in an advanced state of growth and flowering, intervening more than 288 kilos of marijuana and a multitude of electrical and logistical material for the maintenance of this type of plantations, also locating in one of the rooms of the house a gun with silencer and all its numbering erased.
The 33 and 45-year-old detainees, one of whom already had a history of similar events in Spain and abroad, were placed at the disposal of the Dénia Investigative Court, which decreed their entry into prison.
