D * NA Festival: No one wanted to miss the start of the event that unites around a table

In times when union sometimes becomes more necessary than ever, the At the festival Gastronomic Dénia showed that few things unite more than a plate and a table. Nobody wanted to miss the first day of the festival, a day in which time went well, forgetting the autumn to bring us the summer back to Denia.

The importance of this event in our city was well demonstrated with the important influx of people who throughout the whole day walked the toilet, and also with the visit of the main support of the event, the Valencian Tourism Agency. Its regional secretary, Francesc Colomer, visited with the mayor of the city the walk during the morning.

The regional secretary, who on several occasions has shown his affection for Denia, stated that "today more than ever Dénia is the Valencian Community in essence, projecting to the world its most important attribute, which is the sum of many values ​​summarized in one: a lifestyle". In this way, the Generalitat Valenciana has shown its support for the city and this important festival, which has positioned Dénia on the map of world gastronomy.

In addition to the political authorities, representatives of the businessmen were at the bottom of the canyon during the whole day. Cristina Sellés, president of Aehtma, stated that the event "has exceeded expectations" and praised the work of Quique Dacosta bringing the best chefs in the world for a weekend in Denia. The president of CEDMA, Sonja Dietz, recognized that this festival is "how to live a dream", and that shows that "anyone has to believe" which means that Dénia has been declared a Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO.

For the festival we could also see the major falleras of Dénia, Melani Ivars and Carla Vinároz; to the almost complete staff of the CD Dénia, juveniles and the Dénia Futsal, and to political representatives. Dianan aldermen, deputies in Les Corts even mayors of other municipalities, such as Xàbia, showed their support for the event.

But not only political and social representatives. Also many lovers of the good kitchen and students of the CDT and Maria Ibars were pending of each movement during the first day of the festival.

In addition to the thousands of citizens of Dénia who walked through the Marineta, during this weekend there are many people who, on the occasion of the D * NA Gastronomic Festival, have chosen Dénia to spend a few days. So much so that since Aehtma they have confirmed that this weekend was full in the hotels of the city.
