Ten marathons in ten days so that no child in the region runs out of toys this Christmas

17 October 2017 - 07: 58

The athlete of the Marina Alta Raül Oliver has a new project on his hands, and this time with a solidarity aspect. From next November 10, and for 10 consecutive days, he will run the distance corresponding to a marathon (42,2 kilometers) between towns in the region in his new challenge 10x10 Marathon.

For the collection of toys, the project has the collaboration and main sponsorship of the Spanish brand Ale-Hop, belonging to the company Clave-Dénia. For every kilometer that the athlete can perform, Ale-Hop will donate a toy, thus adding to the target of 422 toys, which are the kilometers that Raül will add on his legs when completing the 10 marathon distances.

The toys will be given to children in need through MASSMA, the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Marina Alta. Needy and interested families should apply for their acceptance of the project through MASSMA, the body responsible for accepting their participation.

The routes that Oliver will carry out each day will be announced the day before, although most are expected to leave from Beniarbeig, the municipality in which he lives. In addition it is possible that runners of the region accompany the athlete in some stretches that will be made known throughout the challenge.
