The next December 16 is celebrating a new edition of the Day Banderita, a solidarity day in which volunteers from numerous associations collaborate with the Red Cross in different petitions tables distributed throughout the city to raise money.
This year the benefits will go to the projects that the Red Cross dedicates to children, and for this a program of activities that will be developed throughout the day has been prepared.
In the morning, from the 10: 00, 34 will be installed petitions tables through the streets of Dénia run by different associations and entities of the town, with the help of Red Cross volunteers. The tables will be installed until the 14: 00 hours.
Scenario in Marqués de Campo
At 10: 00 in the morning will also begin performances on the stage of Marqués de Campo, which this year will be installed in the first section of Marqués de Campo. The Retired and Pensioners Home will participate with a carol recital (10: 00); the Casa de Andalucía (11: 00 hours); a Zumba exhibition (12: 00 hours) and a musical performance (13: 00 hours).
In this way, according to the president of the Red Cross, Ana Belén Quintanar, the events will be centralized in the area of Els Quatre Cantons and visibility will be gained on an important day for the Red Cross.
Solidarity day in Baleària Port
This year, as a novelty, the activities also extend to Baleària Port thanks to the collaboration of the Fundació Baleària, which gives space for a solidary street market, a tombola and musical performances in the afternoon.
At the 10: 00 in the morning the market will be installed, with a dozen artisan products from some of the stalls of the Mercat del riurau of Jesus Pobre. In addition, throughout the morning, and thanks to the collaboration of the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs Dénia (ACE) there will be a raffle with gifts donated by businesses belonging to this association.
Its president, Antonio Llopis, trusts that it will be a "generous cooperation" on the part of the merchants and that this action will be "the beginning of something" between both entities.
Activities in the Maritime station They will continue in the afternoon. From 16: 00 to 18: 00 hours there will be a pop musical performance that promises to be "very funny", and then from 18: 00 to 20: 00 hours, dance with La Marina Lindy Hop.
From the Fundaació Baleària They have shown their "satisfaction for being able to contribute" in this event that "falls within the objectives of the Foundation". In addition, Baleària Solidaria volunteers will be present at one of the petitions tables that will be distributed in the city.
Collaboration with the Xàbia Red Cross
Mayca Aranda, representative of the Red Cross Local Assembly JáveaHe stressed that this year's activities will benefit both entities.
Specifically, to the program Playful, a marathon to get toys to be distributed among the children of disadvantaged families of the two localities. This program seeks to collaborate so that no child runs out of toy this Naviad. Through the Red Cross they will acquire the toy that the parents will be able to collect to deliver to the children this holidays.
