Agents of the National Police have arrested fourteen people in the towns of Alicante, Benidorm, Valencia and Torremolinos and have dismantled a very active criminal organization specialized in robbery inside homes and whose members did not hesitate to use violence if they were discovered by the residents of the homes.
The investigation has been carried out by the Specialized Crime Group of the Judicial Police Brigade of the Alicante Police Station, although it has had the collaboration of other agents of the Robbery Group of the Higher Headquarters of the Valencian Community and of the Marbella Police Stations. , Estepona and Torremolinos.
Two robberies in two homes located on the same street in the city of Alicante put the investigators on the trail of one of the material perpetrators of the event, starting the investigation and discovering that he was not acting alone, but was part of a criminal group much broader made up of as many people, who very actively engaged in robberies inside homes.
Thus, in the course of the police investigations, they were able to verify how the alleged perpetrators continuously traveled to different towns in the province of Alicante, Valencia and Malaga to commit their criminal offenses, obtaining an important loot of jewelry, watches, all kinds of valuables and cash. Those investigated did not hesitate to use violence if they were discovered by the residents of the violent houses, even violently attacking them to get their belongings.
Once all the members of the criminal organization had been identified, a broad police system was developed that in several phases achieved the arrest of all the members of the group, a total of 14 men of Algerian nationality. Seven of them arrested in Alicante, three in Benidorm, three in Valencia and one in Torremolinos (Malaga).
The device also carried out six home searches in the towns of Alicante, Valencia, Alginet (Valencia) and Torremolinos (Málaga), intervening a large number of pieces of jewelry, watches, handbags, luxury brand accessories and cash, all stolen. inside homes, as well as supplies and tools used in the assaults.
With this police operation, about 23 robberies with force and violence have been clarified in homes in different locations in Spain, specifically 7 in Alicante, 5 in El Campello, 2 in Dénia, 2 in Oliva, 5 in Marbella, 2 in Torremolinos (Málaga ).
The detainees of Algerian nationality, aged between 29 and 56 years, were accused of the alleged crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, robbery with force, robbery with violence and intimidation and falsification of documents, being made available to the Guard Courts of the different localities where they were detained, seven of them being admitted to prison.
