The Local Police of Denia between 8 and 14 of April, carried out a campaign of control of speed in the urban helmet and crossings that is part of the programming of the campaigns and operations of monitoring and control for the year 2013 of the Direction General of Traffic (DGT).
The result has been a decrease in the number of vehicles reported for speeding: on urban roads 114 vehicles were controlled, 22 causing complaints to be circulated at a higher speed than allowed. In crossings, the number of controlled vehicles was of 48, of which 7 were denounced.
From the DGT remember that, although the data is positive, it is still necessary to make an effort to control the speed in these areas, as they have a great impact on the quality of life of citizens and their daily safety.
