12 October 2018 - 16: 43

El CD Dénia added a good point in his visit to the "L'Almela" field in Villanueva de Castellón where he tied against UD Castellonense, in a fairly even match.

Before the start of the match an emotional and respectful minute of silence was kept in memory of the victims of the floods suffered in Mallorca these days ago.

The clash began with two teams that were respected a lot, none wanted to risk at the start of the game to avoid mistakes that could think much later. Panucci in the 2 minute scored for the visitors but the referee annulled the goal. Both formations fought an intense battle to exercise control of the game in the central plot. The pressure was intense so it became difficult to find spaces to make football.

Faced with the impossibility of arriving in a combinative game, the locals mixed their game with long balls, a direct game that allowed the men directed by Diego Miñana to play with some comfort, without going too far. In attacking the visiting team, there were no free balls left to steal and to take them to their players more advances, which were more worn out in defensive than offensive tasks. To the rest it was arrived with tie to zero in the marker.

Control of the game but lack of success finisher

In the resumption the team looked for the control of the ball before an opponent that yielded a little ground and this the dianenses took advantage of to play more in rival field. Panucci in a great action crashed the ball in the wood.

When the team of Diego Miñana was better, the jug of cold water arrived, when in the 79 minute, Javi Selvas overtook the La Ribera team after a corner kick. Despite being behind on the scoreboard, the dianenses took a step forward and went in search of a draw.

A tie that came in an action in which the ball ended up inside the local frame, when the Dianenses celebrated the equalizer, the referee, Martínez Vilches annulled it. The anger was monumental throughout the expedition of the team of the Marina Alta, who did not give credit to the arbitral decision.

At the end of the regulation time, unfair defeat for the CD Dénia that in this clash gave a totally different image to that of previous matches. On this occasion the team groguet he did not deserve the defeat, the most just would have been a draw.
