The Tourism Department of the City Council of Dénia and the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs (Aehtma) attend their unavoidable appointment with the Madrid Fusión gastronomic congress, which is held from January 13 to 15 at the IFEMA facilities in Madrid.
Dénia participates in this gastronomic event of international importance included in the area of the gastronomic destinations of the Saborea Spain platform, a gastronomic product club of which it is part, next to the cities of Logroño, Gran Canaria, A Coruña, Ciudad Real, Lanzarote, Valladolid, Tenerife, La Palma, Cambrils and Seville
The Saborea Spain program for this edition includes thematic tastings of all destinations during the three days of the congress.
On Monday, January 13, the presentation of “The Products of the Savor Spain Routes” will take place, with tasting of native products from each destination. Saborea Dénia will promote, in this space, the "traditional cocas" of the Cidoncha Group.
On Tuesday 14, the Taste Tapas Route Spain has been scheduled in which each destination will present its flagship products. In the case of Dénia, a grouper tartare with almond milk, citrus, pickled fennel and donut and mackerel bran with pericana in our own way, orange and pea sprouts, two tapas made by chefs Fernando González and José Bañuls will be offered , from the El Raset Group.
On Wednesday, January 15, the presentation of “The Beverages of the Routes Taste Spain” will take place. In this event, tapas accompanied by dry Muscatel wine from Celler Les Freses will be offered.
In addition to these activities, a sample of our most popular pastries will be offered every day, such as almond coca, orange cake, pumpkin pie with chocolate and traditional "Maria" coca, in the "Sweet Moments" space.
The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the president of Aehtma, Cristina Sellés, come as every year represented to the destination and supporting with their presence the promotion of Dénia and the Marina Alta in this gastronomic summit.
Also, businessmen with whose products and elaborations Dénia will be present this year will attend Madrid Fusion: Antonio Cidoncha, from Grupo Cidoncha, Mara Bañó, from the winery Les Freses de Jesús Pobre, and Fernando González, from the El Raset Group.
Just a few days after the Madrid Fusion congress, the Department of Tourism of the City Council of Dénia will continue its work to promote the destination at the International Tourism Fair FITUR, held in Madrid from January 22 to 26, 2020.
Dénia Tourism will be present in this massive tourist event, being part of the Turisme Comunitat Valenciana macroestand, with its “Dénia Creative City” stand located in the space dedicated to the gastronomic product.
During these days, professional appointments with hotel businessmen and communication companies are being arranged and established for professional public days, from January 22 to 24, in order to close different projects at the gastronomic and sports level that will take place in the municipality.
On Friday, January 23, the delegation of Dénia, composed of the mayor of the city, Vicent Grimalt, and the head of the Department of Tourism Dénia, Pepa Cardona, will attend the general assembly of Saborea Spain, in which the summary will be presented of the closing of actions and proposals of the year 2020.
In addition, the day before the inauguration of the fair, on January 21, they will attend the X Exceltur Leadership Forum, whose theme this year is “Creating value, creating future”.
The assistance of different representatives of Aehtma and companies in the tourism sector (hotels, marinas, etc.) is planned.
