In the early summer of 2015 Ecovidrio, the nonprofit organization that deals with managing the recycling of packaging waste glass in Spain, he issued a challenge to 60 municipalities: increase the collection of glass in the summer months.
Dénia accepted the challenge and the result has been more than satisfactory, achieving an increase of 18% over the previous year in the collection of glass. In total, the city has collected in those three months 719.920 kilograms.
And in recognition of the success achieved, the manager of the Levante area of Ecovidrio, Roberto Fuentes, has given the mayor, Vicent GrimaltAnd the Councilor for the Environment, Josep CrespoThe distinctive delivery to the entity Dénia for having overcome the challenge of increasing the recycling of glass.
During the summer, they have collaborated with this initiative over 100 establishments catering sector (hotels, restaurants and cafes). It is recalled that during this summer have installed 50 new vinylated containers and delivered more than 100 cubes tailored to the needs of the hospitality industry. They have also carried out information and awareness campaigns to highlight the importance of continuing the recycling habits during the holidays.
I agree with Genma, in that it benefits us that we recycle in nothing, it would be convenient to think about it and in return give some compensation that would otherwise be just and encourage to continue.
Very good, but how does that benefit us? Because lower the collection tax, they do not lower it…. In some Nordic country that I don't remember now, it is rewarded: the more recycling, points are accumulated that have an impact on bonuses when paying taxes. What a cool idea!
