Dénia will request a national subsidy for the digitization of the water cycle

30 December 2022 - 12: 03

The plenary session held this Thursday has unanimously approved the authorization for Aqualia, the Dénia water concession company, to request aid for projects to improve the efficiency of the urban water cycle, specifically for the digitization of the urban water cycle.

The project to be presented foresees actions to be carried out with a budget of approximately 7,5 million euros, and includes actions that have already been carried out since 2020. The main objective of this renovation is to maximize the efficiency of the water cycle through digitization, improvement of treatment infrastructures and system information management. It is aligned within the strategies of the Dénia City Council for the development of the Smart City project.

Internal Equality Plan

In the same session, the second Plan for Equal Opportunity between women and men aimed at the staff of the Dénia City Council was unanimously approved. The document collects the situation of discrimination in the public administration through a demographic, legal and economic study of the position of women.
Based on this study, the Department of Equality proposes six areas of action: promotion of an egalitarian work culture; ensure equal access to employment; establish equality in access to training and professional development; promote work-life balance; create bullying prevention instruments; normalize the use of non-sexist language.

The actions listed in the plan will materialize in welcome manuals, training in gender perspective or creation of suggestion boxes, among others. The application and effectiveness of the plan will be monitored by the internal Equality Commission.

Regulatory plan 2023

In addition, in the December plenary session, the inclusion of different actions in the 2023 Regulatory Plan was unanimously approved; document that will serve as a road map for next year in terms of the approval of laws. This initiative accounts for the regulations that will go through the Governing Board for approval next year.

From the Department of Planning, Management, Rehabilitation and Infrastructure, it is intended to create legislation to create and regulate a registry of urban use reserves that connects sellers and buyers.

On the other hand, the Urban Control and General Services Service has become aware of the intention to modify the construction and urbanization ordinance.

At the same time, with the Office of Innovation and Creativity as an applicant, they want to include the 'Bancalet' brand as a distinctive linked to Dénia's agri-food strategy.
