Denia continues to focus on training and certification in agriculture

With the objective of "offer a formal training space for professionals and non-professionals to achieve the necessary skills to develop the cycles of this sector", the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Agriculture of the City of Denia that directs Josep Crespo has organized three courses of agriculture and one day of training.

These activities will take place between October and November, and are aimed at people who work in the field, who would like to work, or who have an interest in agriculture. The courses, theoretical-practical, are free and will have an official certification.

The first of them is him Course of assembly and maintenance of irrigation facilities, and will take place the upcoming 4 and 5 from October, from 16: 30 to 19: 30 hours. Registration is open until the 29 in September.

The 18 in October will be Conference on Organic Fertilization and Composting, from 18 to 21 hours. In this case, the registration will be from 2 to 13 in October.

The second course, Cultivation of avocado and other tropical fruit trees as an alternative to traditional crops, will be made from 30 from October to 3 in November, from 18 to 21 hours, and its registration will be open from 10 to 27 in October.

Finally, from 13 to 16 in November, from 18 to 21 hours, it will be the course's turn Biological control of pests, with inscription from 30 from October to 10 of November.

The inscription has to be made in the Department of Environment of the City Hall (Ronda Murallas, 42). Persons who are unemployed or at risk of social exclusion will have priority in enrollment.

The program, which has had the collaboration of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Provincial Council of Alicante, is part of the Strategy for agrarian and territorial dynamism 2017 / 2020 of the Department of Environment, within the Local Action Plan Denia & Marina Alta #Tastinglife, based on the initiative Denia-Ciutat UNESCO Creative Gastronomy.
