The next November 25 is celebrated on International Day Against Gender Violence, and the Department of Equality of the City of Dénia, directed by Elisabet Cardona, has developed a transversal program with the aim of giving visibility to this social scourge and raising awareness in society about the importance of education and zero tolerance with abusers.

under the motto Face up to gender violence. If we support each other, we get it, this year's campaign includes exhibitions, workshops, awareness actions and an institutional act.

In the field of education, Equality will teach throughout the month of November in secondary schools the prevention workshop Do not touch me Whatsapp, directed to the students of 2.º of ESO. The Institutes Historico Chabàs, Number 3 and Maria Ibars and the schools have adhered to the proposal Paidos and Alpha & Omega.

Del 18 November to December 14 can be visited in the Joves Art Room of Youth (Ronda Murallas, 42) the exhibition Women in the Global Village, ceded by the Institute for Women and Equal Opportunities. The exhibition focuses on the problems related to poverty, hunger and food insecurity suffered by a significant number of rural women in the globalized world.

El November 21th, at 19 hours, will be presented at the Casa de Cultura III Equality Plan between women and men of Dénia, the framework document of action for the Ajuntament de Dénia on equality issues, which includes the actions to be taken by the different municipal entities to eliminate situations of inequality of women in all areas of social life.

El Friday November 24 It is the day chosen for the institutional act against gender violence in Dénia. It will be at the 13: 00 hours in the Plaza del Consell, and will include the reading of the manifesto and a performance interpreted by students of the ETC Theater School Marina Alta and of the theater workshop of the Classrooms of the Third Age of Dénia and the reading of the poem Do not sap estimate, by Françoise Crespo, by the author. In case of rain, the institutional act would be transferred to the Plenary Hall of the town hall.

The program will end with a citizen awareness campaign that will take place at the Dénia Municipal Market (November 25th, from 11 to 13 hours) and in the Mercat del Riurau de Jesús Pobre (November 26th, 12 hours). The action consists of a photo session to which all citizens are invited to participate in order to make visible their rejection of gender violence. The poses will be made in a photocall made for the occasion by the users of the TAPIS. The photographs will be published on the Facebook of the Ajuntament de Dénia.
