Dénia becomes the Mini Olympic Jocs Marina Alta

A month of travel through all the towns of the region to arrive in Dénia on Wednesday. With the arrival of the Olympic torch, the starting gun was given for the celebration of the IX Mini jocs of the Marina Alta, which were officially inaugurated last night and are held until tomorrow in Dénia.

More than 1.300 young athletes filled the track of the Sports Center in the act that started the competition. One by one, the delegations of the 19 participating towns paraded through the athletics track accompanied by the Youth Band of the Musical Artistic Group to fill the entire space.

Then they spoke the authorities: they spoke Pepa Font, Councilor of culture, Ana Kringe, Mayor of Denia, Paco Montagud, president of CEMA (Consorci Esportiu of High Navy) and Mateo Castellá, Director General of Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana. They agreed to encourage athletes to enjoy this experience and squeeze the most to learn everything possible about it.

Also they read a manifesto commitment a representative of the participants and judges representative to be present during this weekend in competitions.

The event ended with the entrance of the Olympic torch, which was carried by four dedicated athletes to finally relieve her who was goalkeeper CD Dénia, responsible for lighting the cauldron.
