The City of Dénia will receive, by the Diputación de Alicante, a total of 51.471,74 euros corresponding to various grants in the field of equality and social services for the 2017 annuity.
In the area of social services, a grant of 22.993 euros has been obtained for social emergency aid programs and another of 20.118 euros for the Home Help Service. Also the project of leisure on the beach for people with functional diversity, developed in the months of July and August on Raset beach, has received 3.256 euros grant from the provincial institution. Also, the municipality has received aid of 2.372 euros for the acquisition of equipment for the municipal residence of elders of Santa Llúcia.
In terms of equality, the Diputación de Alicante has awarded a grant of 1.220,97 euros for the design, printing and edition of the III Equal Opportunity Plan between women and men 2016 / 2020 and another of 1.502,77 euros in the framework of the subsidies destined to programs and activities for equal opportunities and prevention of gender violence for the development of the project "The Luca wig", which aims to promote co-education programs in the centers of Denia. This project is carried out with 4 students from all schools in the city in order to promote gender mainstreaming.
