Dénia receive Their Majesties, The Three Kings of the East

Yesterday, Dénia received their Majesties, Los Wise Men de Oriente with a great parade that traveled from the Cervantes Esplanade to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, passing through the Calle Marques de Campo.

Ethnic dances, classics and pages accompanied by torches escorted Gaspar, Melchor and Baltasar to the City Hall of Dénia where they worshiped the baby Jesus in the Pesembre and offered their presents: gold, incense and myrrh.

Once in the Town Hall, the Magi were received by the Local Authorities and went up to the balcony of the Consistory to send a message to all the children of Dénia.

The speech, by King Gaspar, encouraged the children to "behave well and brush their teeth after each meal."

Promising to return next year, the Kings took leave of all gathered there and prepared to face the busiest and magical night of all giving gifts and hope to all children year.
