Dénia proposes a new beach to qualify for the Blue Flag next year

May 29 from 2022 - 07: 00

All the beaches of Dénia are today, undeniably, its greatest tourist attraction. There are many more, and even better ones, but our coastline is still the most persecuted. That is why, with a view to the summer season, it is worth boasting of recognitions, and, in terms of beaches, there is none more important than the Blue flag.

Another year, Dénia has revalidated its Blue Flags, which will fly again on the beaches of The Bovetes, Les Deveses, Marines, Marineta Cassiana, Els Molins y Punta del Raset. There are six in total, and the city is among the municipalities that have the most beaches with the distinction in the entire country.

Now, they are not enough. Or that is what the City Council seems to think, since, during the press conference in which they presented the new beach season, announced that they were working to opt for a seventh Blue Flag.

The beach with which Dénia will opt for a new badge will be l'Almadrava, in the area known as Costa de la Calma. To do this, they will adapt it this summer to the demands of the Blue Flags evaluation commission, which the candidates to hold them during next summer will study during those months. However, it will not be until May 2023 when we will know if an effect has arisen and the municipality will be granted its seventh Blue Flag.

The people who have our second residence on the beach, as owners or renters, have contributed to the prosperity of Denia by paying our taxes. However, the council does not show any respect for the neighbors, nor does it provide the beaches and road of Las Marinas with the most basic. Not even the Lavapiés work at the moment.
Could it be that those who are not registered and do not vote here do not deserve the same treatment as potential voters?

    You are right!!!
Punta del Raset blue flag? Is it the sewage treatment plant of said beach with the bad smell that it gives off that makes it worthy of said award?
Sandy beaches Yes, but full of algae, cigarette butts, footbaths that don't work, rubbish that can't be recycled due to lack of containers for it, dogs loose at any time doing their business in the sand where we would like to lie down later, in short, no I follow!
Honestly, I don't understand that classification!

"Claims" are one thing and "requirements" are quite another, right?

First you will have to clean the beach of rotten algae with their respective bugs..

That's how it is. but not only. From the beaches. New containers, pick up the garbage as God intended, pave Asaagador and all of Las Marinas, which look like a Banana Republic, anyway, as I always say!!: WE ABANDONED THOSE FROM LAS MARINAS!! !! HELP!!

The Blue Flag is not only a rag that is waved because "a contact" has granted it to us. Beaches must be cleaned and maintained, as well as providing them with services such as public toilets, body showers, accessibility walkways, lifeguard services, etc. As they say, beaches are the biggest tourist attraction, I don't understand why they are so neglected. The latest disgusting dog shit in the sand and shore of the beach, terrible. Is that a Blue Flag? That is dunghill, as well as a health hazard for swimmers.
