Dénia City Council approved Thursday, during the plenary session for the month of April, an urgent motion in which they request the Department of Health that regional hospital is named "Torrent Guasp Hospital"In honor of the cardiologist Francisco Torrent Guasp.

Dr. Paco Torrent Guaps was born in Gandia in 1931 and 2005 died in Madrid. His work as a cardiologist research focused on the anatomy and function of the heart. Their search led to the discovery and description of the ventricular myocardial band. Their findings have been included in reference books of anatomy and surgery.
As a cardiologist, as a friend and as a diane, I believe that it is absolutely fair, and that his "theory", of the contraction of the raised ventricle, was a line to be followed by the cardiology world.
