The tourist establishments of Dénia are already prepared for the start of the high summer season, and provide for a slightly higher occupancy than the same period last year, with slots from 3% to 9% more occupancy than in the forecasts of the same period of the 2017.
According to a survey carried out on tourist accommodation by the Department of Tourism of the Dénia City Council, the forecast of occupancy in hotel establishments for the first half of July is around 65-70%, as in tourist rental accommodation. In campsites it is expected that the occupancy will be 55-60%.
According to the experience of the last years, the usual thing is that the real occupation exceeds the forecast, since it is based on the reserves made at the time of the survey, which are subsequently increased with last-minute reservations.
