Dénia, Ready to cyclists?

January 07 from 2013 - 00: 00

These days the residents of Dénia have missed greatly to the creation of new bike lanes that have been installed throughout the municipality within the project Platform No Motorized funded by the European Union through FEDER funds.

From now on, drivers of passenger cars, motorcycles and bicycles have to get used to this new redistribution of the streets.

In the cycle streets, the bicycles will be the ones that have preference over the cars or motorcycles, while the cycle lanes have been enabled in many streets of the city to facilitate the routes of the cyclists. All this, with the aim of making Dénia a more sustainable city.

The new year brings new conditions for driving in Dénia. Do you think the city is ready for motor vehicles and bicycles to coexist normally?

Going up Calle Diana towards the Lidl roundabout has become a nightmare for both bicycles and cars…. It is highly confusing and DANGERS, since NOTHING is understood: There is a tracing with the white stripes of the invisible practicing center (erased ..) and the four red stripes of the "bike lanes" .. and NO ONE knows where to get into ... There will be some SAFE accident .. WHO will have the responsibility .. ???

  2. David says:

Another one of La Pepa Font… NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO take it to another city, please.

  3. txin says:

well… ..after reading everything… .the idea is good… join the existing bike lanes… but it has to be accompanied not only by red stripes… but also to modify the speed of circulation of the rest of the vehicles below 30 km . hour… .and others… it would be good to look at other initiatives that work and are improving ( http://www.noticiasdealava.com/2013/01/08/vecinos/vitoria-gasteiz/unos-pivotes-protegeran-los-carriles-bici-en-sentido-contrario-en-los-cruces-de-las-39zonas-3039 )

  4. Bea Denia says:

These lanes are a joke in bad taste ..

  5. Mayte says:

Em dóna authenticates vergonya uns inútilment is wasted so many diners fan in these temps.
It is not because a bike lane is not recommended, but because the absurdity of the mateix is a route for suicides.
Qui ho ha is fet one pocavergonyes.
    Vergonya !!! Patetic !!!!!!

  6. ferran says:

These politicians besides continuing squandering thousands of euros, which is already immoral, and other countries punishable, in its attempt to convert Denia in the great world reference of cycling outstripping China, will ensure that traffic rules are so subjective as the number of drivers that will flow through the bloody asphalt.

  7. amparibus says:

For bicycles passing through these lanes, and it could have saved. I live near some of these assumptions bike lanes, and just go 2 or 3 bikes a week, and some go down the road or on the sidewalk for pedestrians, with the corresponding threat to the latter. Yes, parking spaces have been removed, impede circulation and Denia make money is spent, which invested in more useful things, would have been more provecho.Esto is nonsense over the many to which we are accustomed Mrs. Font. They may already think something that was beneficial for the inhabitants of Denia, instead of always giving priority to comercial.Recordemos that Denia is a city, not a store, as they want to make.

  8. MARTYN JONES says:

The new law DGT recognizes not only the right of cyclists to circulate in parallel group, but also gives them priority in circulation.

Bikes can finally move down the middle of the road in those limited to a 30 kilometers / hour streets. This historic cyclist claim has been announced by the General Directorate of Traffic in reforming the General Traffic Regulations to be adopted this year.

Europe things do not look anything here.

  10. Gonzalo Pla Frau. says:

Okay, now we just need to paint some blue stripes for aircraft landing and we have airport!

  11. Lucia says:

In principle the idea is good, but I think the councilor responsible for it, who have informed me was Mrs. Font, should give a convincing explanation.
But of course, for her apparently, that is not possible. Come on, among its beach bars, the tourist policy that it carries and now the bike lanes ... let's get by with this lady

  12. Paco Mas Tur says:

Molt be! Through this project we have trincado ERDF pasta! It's a shame that with what we are in Denia, just us four stripes.

  13. sonia says:

best of all, had not yet finished painting the bike lane gandia ADLs and they were putting patches because the paint jumping

  14. juan gabriel says:

As a biker that I consider myself, I will not spend that bike lane in my life because the only benefit that I see is the money that some of them will open bagging themselves with the bullshit (not to say shit) of the killer lane that they have made ... The artifice would have to give him two medals, one for a fool and the other in case he loses it
    auuuu simbegüences

  15. George says:

In the middle of the crisis, spend money on these things…. Well, the truth is that nothing fills me up, what's more, it annoys me since then people go along the road right next to the bike path without paying any attention, I don't think there is so much bike traffic as to have to prepare all of Denia for they ... There are more needs and very important as other people say ... Anyway, so goes Denia ....

  16. Dianense grouchy says:

The problem is not only that the bike lane lacks protection for the cyclist, but that 300.000 euros have been spent doing it! But what kind of paint have you used? Of gold?
Everything is made with the intention of justifying expenditure have not thought about what they actually did.

Where is the money you obviously have not used on the bike path?

    @denia_malhumor

  17. JoseRRa says:

Often waste money on pinturitas with these bike paths unusable. With the crisis there would have preferred that money spent on paint, you might have for the poor.

  18. fernando says:

who is ready? This is done to desacer, the idea in principle is good, but I think it would have to be studied by the people because it is the people who have to adjust to this situation, so as they do what they want and the result will look , that if you pay to spend European Union, jajajajajajaja.

  19. Maria says:

It seems absurd and useless, like the new roundabouts. There are essential things that we lack. I no longer surprised me.

  20. Jordi says:

A bike lane must be an independent lane, so you do not guarantee the safety of the cyclist in any way ...

While the initiative is to worry, but I think that either will not be used or worsen traffic and bad have attempted to address the problem: S

  21. Carlos says:

I have to paint the asphalt red for a bike lane ... I'm just as scared to go with the bike with or without it, the cars are the same, look that in the Plaza de las Palmeras there is no place to do it right as well as many points of denia. You are very crappy

  22. Yolanda says:

Pepa Font ... you're looking nice
