The Mayor of Dénia, Ana Kringe, He moved to Monforte del Cid to collect the prize "Building Equal Opportunities Municipalities" awarded by the Ministry of Justice and Social Welfare through the Directorate General of Family and Woman in the category of municipalities with more than 10.000 inhabitants.
This award recognizes the work of municipalities in the development and implementation of equality plans. In the case of Denia, from 2009 it is in Vigo II Plan for Equal Opportunities (PIO) which advocates equality between women and men through 67 shares, divided into 11 different areas that are implemented by the different areas of City council with responsibility for development, as well as other entities involved.
The councilor of the area, Pepa Sivera, was very satisfied with this recognition that, he assures, encourages to continue working in this line.
