Dénia has finished 2018 with a total of 41.733 registered inhabitants, according to the report of the census of inhabitants published by the National Institute of Statistics. A figure that maintains the data of the last five years and increases significantly with respect to 2017, when 41.568 inhabitants were counted. In a year, the pattern has grown in 165 people.
Out of the total number of registered people that come from the INE study, 21.488 are women, and the rest, 20.245, men.
But that number is far from the 44.464 registered registered in 2009, ten years ago. And far from the moment in which more inhabitants have had the city in its history, in the year 2011, when 44.726 dianenses were counted.
Looking at the history of the report prepared by the INE, dating back to the 1996 year, the city has increased in 14.264 people. That Dénia had 27.469 inhabitants.
