The Directorate General of people with disabilities and promotion of personal autonomy of the Department of Social Welfare has approved the granting of a grant of 94.439 euros to the City of Denia for the maintenance of sheltered mental patients during 2011.
Sheltered housing, launched by the City Council and managed by the association AMADEM, is currently occupied by five users. These people, served by a supervisor, acquiring skills for their independence.
Since its implementation, the City Council has been carrying out some improvements in housing and currently members of the Works and Services brigade are working on conditioning the outdoor patio to provide greater accessibility and prevent flood problems.
