25 March 2015 - 18: 55

Since 31 years ago he took the reins of Pare Pere Hermitage, Enrique Oltra Perales Franciscan has become an indispensable tool for understanding, inter alia figure, the importance of Fray Pedro Esteve, the Pare Pere.

As stated in the diploma, "for his dedication to the figure of Fray Pedro Esteve, for the work of adaptation and conservation of the chapel dedicated to him and his environment and for being a promoter of the cause of beatification of Pare Pere thanks to the years of research and study of his life works "Last December 18 full city adopted its distinction as an adopted son of the city of Denia.

At the tribute ceremony, held at the city's Social Center, Enrique Oltra was supported by family and friends, as well as by the entities that approved this concession: ADEMAR, Association of former students of the Maristas school; Llar de Retirees and Pensioners; Citizen Association for Santa Lucía Municipal Residence; Montgó Vein Association; Rotary Club of Denia; Fishermen's Guild; APOTECARIS Association of the Marina Alta; Royal Nautical Club of Dénia; Dénia Tennis Club; Association for the Fight against Cancer of Dénia; Association of Diabetics of Dénia and region; AEHTMA; CEDMA; Housewives Association; Gent of Dénia, La Xara and Jesus Pobre; Club UC Montgó; Bowling Association of the Marina Alta; ACORD, Association of Colombian Residents in Dénia; Association of Civil Protection Volunteers; Marina Alta Solidària Federation; Dénia and Peña Taurina Maestranza Foundation.

It was Enrique Chiner, member of the Committee of parishioners of the hermitage of Pare Pere, who requested in the year 2013 the appointment of the Franciscan. On behalf of the Commission, Emilio Gavilà took the floor, who conducted an extensive review of the figure of the Franciscan and his biography, highlighting the important work in favor of the beatification of Pare Pere.

Meanwhile, the star of the night could not suppress emotion as he recalled his beginnings in the city of Denia, with few parishioners coming to the chapel, and the growth it had suffered. With the memory of his brother and parents we were able to see the most excited Franciscan who finished signing the book of honor of the city with the words: "My land is Carcaixent but my city is Dénia. Carcaixent gave me life and Dénia gives me the glory of being its citizen."
