The new data from the Ministry of Health on coronavirus infections detected with PCR tests since Friday are more than positive in the Marina Alta region.
In the Dénia Health Department, on which the entire Marina Alta depends, only 14 new positives have been added in recent days. This is one of the updates with the lowest numbers of new infections in the region. The 135 positives in the last 14 days make the accumulated incidence in the Marina Alta drop again to 78'61 infections out of every 100.000 inhabitants. And the trend seems to be continuing downward. In total, since March, there are already 1.881 residents of the Marina Alta who have faced the coronavirus.
By municipalities, these data are equally optimistic, especially in Dénia which, for the first time since the summer, has not added a new contagion in an update. In the last 14 days, it has registered only 42 infections, so the incidence falls below 100, remaining at 99'61.
In order of new infections, the municipalities that have added since Friday have been Benissa and Pedreguer, with 4 cases each, Calp with 3, Teulada and Gata with 2, and one in Llíber (for the first time since the pandemic began ), Orba and El Verger. From the latter comes the worst news, because one of the neighbors with coronavirus has passed away this weekend.
In addition, it is not only that there has been a small amount of new infections in the region, but also that many municipalities have subtracted for the first time. Denia, Xàbia, Els Poblets and Ondara have subtracted a contagion from their total cases. Why is this? As Dénia.com has learned from the Ministry, this strange movement indicates that some positives have changed their residence since they tested positive, since Health indicates the place of risk. Therefore, if a person tests positive in a locality, it is indicated that the risk is in that locality, adding a positive to his figures, but if he changes his address in the middle of the follow-up or decides to spend the confinement in another place, this figure is transferred to where you are.
