The tourist occupation of Dénia during the first fifteen days of the month of August, has been similar to the same period of the 2017 exercise. This is revealed by the data provided by the Department of Tourism of the City of Dianense. Figures obtained through a survey carried out among hotel establishments where they have had an occupation of 93%. In campsites, occupation has been noticeably lower with an 65%. While in tourist rental accommodations 94% was reached.
Data similar to last summer
In comparison with the data for the same period last year, hotel occupancy was similar to last year's, although slightly higher (an 2% more) with data that ranges between 90 and 95%.
The occupation of campsites has been somewhat lower, if last year was around 70% this year has been around the 65%. The variable climatology could have been a determining factor in this type of accommodation.
The occupancy in tourist rental accommodation has been similar to last year, with values around 94%.
In the second fortnight, the rental accommodation improves
In terms of forecast for the 2 fortnight of the month of August, an occupation of an 83% in hotel establishments is expected, very similar to last year. A 55% is foreseen in campsites, lower than last year's which was around 61%, and tourist rental accommodation is forecast to be higher than last year's occupancy, around 81% when last year it was located around the 73-74%.
