Last weekend, and like every second Sunday in May, Dénia celebrated the day of the sailors' patron with a busy schedule. In the morning the mass was celebrated, attended by numerous devotees, the members of the Festival Commission of the Mare de Déu dels Desemparats and the Falleras Mayores de Dénia.
In the afternoon, after enjoying the seafaring market that was installed in the port, the procession took place in the maritime neighborhood in which different brotherhoods of the city participated, Marta Tabernero and Rocío Patricio and councilors of the municipal corporation with the mayor, Ana Kringe, in front.
