The Court of Instruction Number 3 of Denia has been in charge of coordinating an anti-drug operation in which has been dismantled a band carrying hashish hidden inside industrial electrical transformers.
Last January the National Police had news of the presence of a criminal organization on the Levantine coast. Its members, of British nationality, were engaged in acquiring drugs in our country that, hidden inside electricity transformers, transported to the United Kingdom.
Apparently, the band kept meetings and security appointments in Dénia, where they had their logistical headquarters installed.
After finding out that the gang was planning the imminent delivery of an indeterminate amount of hashish and beginning the investigation, the agents searched a villa in Elche owned by the investigated ones, where they found 332 kilos of hashish.
The investigation has shown the commission of various crimes, illegal possession of weapons, attacks against agents of the authority and against public health, the latter aggravated by the existence of criminal organization and amount of notorious importance.
