For the third consecutive day, the capital of the Marina Alta lives a yellow alert day, decreed by the AEMET, due to strong gusts of wind. This can pose a danger to pedestrians, so the City Council has implemented prevention measures to avoid accidents.
Since the beginning of 2021, the wind has been almost constant in our area. Although it is true that due to our geography its presence is more than common, especially during summer afternoons, few times at this time have there been so many episodes so closely.
Today the gusts of wind will again reach 90 kilometers per hour, so the City Council has decided to close the Torrecremada park until 15:XNUMX p.m. this Wednesday in order to avoid risk situations for the people who walk there.
Starting tomorrow, the intensity of the wind is expected to decrease, so AEMET will deactivate the yellow alert.
