Dénia welcomes its Falleras Mayores: Aida Gavilà and Noa Dacosta

19 September 2022 - 10: 23

All the failures from Dénia have dressed up this weekend to celebrate the exaltations of their highest representatives. An appointment long-awaited by the world of Fallas, which means returning to the usual rhythm of Fallas after two years of waiting.

The verses of María Ibars accompany Aida Gavilà

On Friday it was the turn of the biggest faller of Dénia 2023, Aida Gavilà Gómez, and her court of honor, Miss Nerea Gamero Pereira.

The falleros Juan Céspedes and Rafa Soler were in charge of shaping the act, which had as its common thread the verses of Maria Ibars, on the 130th anniversary of her birth and at the gates of the celebration of her year, since the Valencian Academy de la Llengua has established that 2024 will be the year of Maria Ibars.

The president of the Local Board Fallera, Jaume Bertomeu, received the court of honor and Aida Gavilà on stage, who went up accompanied by the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, and two local police officers dressed in gala. It was precisely Grimalt who addressed a few words to Aida, especially remembering the moment of her call to inform her that she was the new major fallera and the two times the telephone communication was cut off. The mayor of the city presented her with her official appointment as Fallera Mayor de Dénia 2023.

Next, Aida listened carefully to the words of Pasqual Herreros, her exalter. Journalist and fallero, Pasqual spoke of Aida and her court with much appreciation, awakening, in equal parts, tears and smiles.

After this, he went on stage Safir Malonda, Fallera Mayor de Dénia 2020-2022, in her farewell as the highest representative of the Dénia failures after especially intense years.

An unforgettable night for Aida and her court of honor that marks the beginning of the 2023 calendar of Fallas presentations.

An endless tale to introduce and exalt Noa Dacosta and Mud

The proclamation was conducted by Neus Suàrez Femenia, Fallera Mayor Infantil de Dénia 2019, in charge of narrating a very special story that had Noa Dacosta and the components of her court of honor as main protagonists.

Laia Miñana, Paula Gavilà and Alma Contrí were received on stage by the president of the Fallera Local Board, and with everyone on stage, the auditorium stood up to receive Noa Dacosta.

Vicent Grimalt wished Noa a year full of experiences and presented her with the official appointment.
Then Sara Larrazábal, Fallera Mayor Infantil de València 2019, addressed Noa and her court in a very personal exaltation and in which she invited them to enjoy the Fallas as if it were a menu.

Martina Gimeno, Dénia's 2020-2022 children's fallera accompanied Noa in this emotional act, thus saying goodbye to the fallero world.
