The Consell de les Dones convened on Wednesday afternoon in front of the municipality of Dianenses a silent gathering to show their rejection of the double attempt of macho homicide that took place that same dawn.
Fifty people, including representatives of the local government and several parties, joined behind the banner with the motto Contra les violències masclistes, to show his rejection of the acts that took place that dawn, in which a man tried to kill two women with a knife after sneaking into his house. Both women were hospitalized and are out of danger. For its part, the alleged aggressor tried to commit suicide after the act, but it has not been until today that he has died from the wounds that were caused when ingesting salfumán.
After the minute of silence, the Councilor for Equality, Cristina Morera, expressed on behalf of all his rejection to any type of sexist violence. "We want to end this scourge once and for all", said Morera, adding that the concentration is not only against the act of yesterday, "but of all these acts that are suffered by the whole State". In addition, the councilor encouraged the awareness of all the neighbors, stating that "It is not a matter of men or women, but of the whole society".
