Everything is ready and prepared for Dénia to celebrate its "Volta a Peu", seventh round of the Circuit a Peu Marina Alta. A test organized by the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium, which has a length of 10 kilometers.
The organization expects a participation of more than 1.300 athletes that will arrive from the municipalities of the Marina Alta and other neighboring, Marina Baixa and La Safor. The most novel of this edition is the change of route with respect to the previous edition.
The fact of coinciding with the celebration of the XI Boat Show that organizes the Marina and Tourist Marina de Denia, makes the option of going through, unlike last year, unfeasible. This has meant that this part of the race has been replaced by another part that will run through the Moll de la Pansa, that is, that the southern breakwater is changed to the north.
Athletic party from the 16 hours
The athletic party will begin to live from early in the afternoon, as it is expected that the tests for the smallest begin at 16 hours with the categories, Barrufets, Prebenjamines followed by the category, youngest, juvenile, infant and cadet.
The exit to the queen test will be given from the 18: 30 from the Calle Marques de Campo, where the finish line is also installed. Participants will enjoy the cloakroom service and showers that will be at the Maristas school very close to the finish line. The organization has planned to install several points in which the charangas will serve as an animation for all athletes.
Trophies made by Aprosdeco students
One of the characteristics that stand out in this race is in the trophies that will be delivered to the first three classified in each of the categories, both female and male. The trophies are pieces made in mud by the students of Aprosdeco, something that the winners like very much because it is another type of trophy, since it is not the typical cup.
