Last Thursday, December 13, the day of Saint Lucia was celebrated. As is traditional every year, Dénia will celebrate this name day with the traditional porrat and the pilgrimage to the hermitage, the Montgo.
It will be Saturday, December 15. In the morning the porrat posts will be installed on the access road to the hermitage.
The boys and girls of catechism and Juniors of San Antonio will participate in the pilgrimage, which is expected to arrive at the hermitage at noon. At the 12: 00 hours a mass will be celebrated.
The chapel of Santa Lucia
St. Lucia, lawyer sight problems, also has a corner for her in Dénia. It is one of the so-called wayside "conquest" dated in S.XV and subsequent remodeling between 1708 and 1812.
The chapel is located in the Natural Park of Montgo, about 2,5 kilometers from the city center, in a quiet place in a residential area which is accessible by bike, on foot or by car, since there is no public transport to the chapel.
