The city of Dénia has been chosen as representative of the Valencian Community in the European project EDEN (European Destinations of Excellence - European Destinations of Excellence) of the European Commission. The aim of this project is to draw attention to the value and diversity of European destinations and to raise awareness of emerging markets that are developing sustainable tourism initiatives.
This year, especially it enhances the visibility of emerging European destinations that have developed innovative initiatives of their tourism based on the specificity of the local cuisine. Candidates will have to be destinations that offer authentic tourism experiences and develop sustainable social, cultural and environmental management.
Currently part of the network 119 26 destinations in different countries. They all have the power to choose a destination in each call.
Dénia MICE tourism destination
These statements were made during the assessment of the Board of Tourism, which took place last week and which were released ways forward for this year.
In this line, the Mayor and Councilor for Tourism, Ana KringeHe explained that the tourism department is actively working on enhancing the city as a MICE destination, conventions and meetings.
It will also continue to promote Dénia as a shopping destination and language tourism through famtrips y presstrips.

In the next days the website of tourism department will renew its image, adapted to all devices and giving more weight to images to text. The web will incorporate a more complete event agenda and content in a more focused editorial that the visitor viralice.
