Dénia assists in South Korea Forum UNESCO Creative Cities

Dianense a delegation of the council of International Relations, Óscar MengualAnd the director of the Office of Innovation and Creativity Ajuntament de Dénia, Floren Terrades, traveled the 19 21 October to the city of Jeonju (South Korea) to participate in the Forum of Creative Cities.

This international event was attended by representatives of 18 cities belonging to the Creative Cities Network, as well as senior officials of the Korean government to address issues such as the role of gastronomy in the cultural development of cities, new 2030 sustainable development objectives, the future strategy of the UNESCO network, or creating partnerships between the creative sector, business and civil society.

Dénia, being part of the steering committee along with Östersund and Parma, helped define strategies Creative Cities Network of Gastronomy to join the steering committee along with Östersund and Parma. To this end various meetings were held and settled bilateral meetings with those cities with which Dénia plans to develop specific actions together.

The forum was held at the National Center for Intangible Heritage of Korea and was completed with the visit to the Center for Traditional Culture, Creative Korean Culinary Institute and Food Festival Bibimbap (the traditional dish and most representative of Korea).
