The city of Dénia is preparing to live, from July 7 to 15, its Festivals in honor of the Holy Blood. Some parties that come with a program "compensated", with activities for all ages and three different spaces: the street La Vía for large-format performances; the square Valgamediós for children's performances and the Torrecremada esplanade as a youth leisure area.
The councilman of Fiestas, Óscar Mengual, accompanied by the technician of the department, Noemí Amorós, have presented this year's program, which with an approximate budget of 300.000 euros will officially start with the chupinazo that will shoot on Saturday 7 in July at 13: 00 hours in Glorieta and will end with a castle pyromusical on the esplanade of Torrecremada on Sunday the 15th.
As every year, there will be three bull entries, 7 (Saturday), 9 (Monday) and 13 (Friday).
Orchestras and musical shows
This year they will perform in the week of Major Festivals of Dénia the La Pato Orchestra (Saturday 7 July) on La Vía street; and the València Orchestra (Saturday 14 July), in the Glorieta, both at midnight.
The musical shows will be completed with the Intergenerational Song Festival (Friday, 6 of July) to 22: 00 hours; the show We Love Queen (Sunday, 8 of July) to 23: 00 hours on La Vía street; the dance performance of the MªÁngeles Signes Dance School (Monday, 9 of July); the concert of the Agrupació Artística Musical Dénia (Wednesday, 11 July) on the day of the Santíssima Sang, this year accompanied by Dianense soprano Carmen Paula Romero; and the musical Acrobatic Dance, on Sunday 15 of July in the street La Vía.

This year, due to the works on La Mar street, the musical performances are moved to Plaza Valgamediós. The schedule includes every day, from Saturday 7 in July to Friday 13 in July, various performances and workshops that will start at 19: 30 hours. It is worth highlighting the performance of Dani Miquel, on Thursday 12 in July.
Young people will enjoy the Torrecremada esplanade
The young public can enjoy the performances scheduled in the Torrecremada esplanade, just like last year. For this edition, the performances of Motivation Xperience on Tuesday, 10 for July; Discommobile Tumblea (Thursday, 12 of July) and the performance of the Space Elephants on Friday, 13 for July.
Accessibility for people with reduced mobility to the bullring
This year, the festival department will enable a specific area so that people with reduced mobility can see the shows of Bous a la Mar. After holding talks with the Fishermen's Association, 10 people with a companion will be allowed access to the back area of the fish market, which adjoins the bullring.
This service has been offered in recent years, but this year will be made official with signage and information to the spectators by the volunteers of the party.
No definitive location for the clubs at the moment
Asked about the location of the clubs Bous a la Mar, the councilor has only stated that negotiations for its location are continuing this year, without specifying a specific location. For two years, after the refusal of the General Directorate of Ports, the clubs cannot be installed next to the square. The first year they were installed in the Llunàtics parking lot and last year in the parking lot behind the Hotel Costa Blanca, far from the square and with the corresponding discomfort of the peñistas.
