Dénia commitment to agriculture with new courses and improvements in urban gardens and school

The bet that the City of Dénia is being done to promote agriculture in the city takes strength slowly but surely. Thanks to a collaboration with the Diputación de Alicante, from now until the 31 of October, the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Agriculture will launch two practical and open courses and improve the urban and school gardens of the city.

This program, which is part of the Dénia Action Plan&Marina Alta #Tastinglife Has a subsidy by the Diputación de Alicante of 4.500 euros.

The first course will be an introduction to organic farming and will take place between the 16 and the 30 in June. The course will include theoretical and practical sessions, will be free and open to any interested person. Places are limited and registration can be made from the 22 from May to the 2 in June in the Department of Environment of the City of Dénia, located in Ronda de las Murallas, number 42, or by sending an email to deniaviva @ ayto- denia.es Subsequently a second course on assembly and maintenance of irrigation facilities will be convened.
 
The program, which is also part of the Strategy of Agrarian and Territorial Dynamization 2017 / 2020 of the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Agriculture, also includes actions to promote gardens in schools and introduce improvements in urban gardens.
