28 March 2012 - 00: 00

Next Saturday, between 20:30 p.m. and 21:30 p.m., the whole world celebrates "Earth Hour", a WWF initiative to raise awareness of the need to save and better manage energy. Dénia, like cities such as Valencia, Madrid or Granada, joins this symbolic gesture with the City Hall lighting blackout, practically the entire Castle and the moat of the Ronda de las Murallas.

This was announced by the council of Agenda 21, Vicente Chelet, Environment, Juan Carlos SignesAnd Works and Services, Sisco SignesWhose departments join forces to make sense of this initiative.

Dénia participates in this initiative since 2009, although this year it gains more strength due to the blackout of the most emblematic monument in the city: the Castle of Dénia.

I the drew in hours that no one on the street, for example: 1: 00-5: 00 or 00: 00-6: 00, more than anything because it is an unnecessary expense, like many more city lights . Instead of spending birth to things that look normal that day, I put more streetlights in the port area rather by walk cervantes area that night is almost 0 visibility when driving
