Dénia extends the term of the restrictions but reopens the Torrecremada outdoor markets

January 29 from 2021 - 11: 28

Given the latest data on the incidence of the pandemic in the city and the region and with the aim of minimizing the risk of contagion among the population, the Dénia City Council has decided to extend the restrictions in force until February 15. Thus, all acts of municipal organization with the public, cultural and sports activities, as well as workshops and face-to-face activities for Youth and Senior Citizens, continue to be suspended. Sports facilities will remain closed and the city's playgrounds will continue to be sealed. Likewise, the Torrecremada gardens will close at 20 pm.

The tourist information offices, the municipal exhibition halls (Centro de Arte la Estación, Espacio Castejón and room on the 2nd floor of the House of Culture), the city's museums and the Municipal Archive will also continue to be closed to the public.

The Municipal Public Library (c. De Sant Josep) and the Rafael Chirbes reading agency are also closed to the public and only offer the service of loan and return of material.

The service hours in the Sant Josep library are from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 21 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am to 13.30 pm; and that of the Rafael Chirbes reading agency is from Monday to Friday, from 9.30:13.30 a.m. to 17:20 p.m. and from XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

Users who request the material they want to borrow are recommended by telephone, at 96 578 36 65, or by email to the address bookstore@ayto-denia.es. In this way, collection is expedited and waiting times are shortened.

Mercadets return to Torrecremada

As a novelty, in the extension decree signed yesterday by the mayor, it is considered necessary to restart the activity of the non-sedentary sales markets that are held in Torrecremada, he feels it necessary that this start be carried out gradually.

For this reason, and in order to avoid crowds of people, guarantee better and adequate control of access in an area with sufficient activity and comply with health regulations, it is established that the Monday market will resume on February 1, in the regular hours and with a 50% reduction in the stops usually authorized, alternating vendors every Monday until the epidemiological situation improves.

In the same conditions, the Friday trail will be resumed, which will be installed again on February 5, at the usual time and with a 50% reduction in the usually authorized stops, alternating the vendors each Friday.

Following the regional regulations on health, different measures will be adopted in both markets of the Torrecremada esplanade. The spaces set up for the celebration will be delimited with construction tapes, fences or any other means that allow the limits of the space to be clearly marked, favoring the delimitation of the influx of customers and ensuring the allowed capacity. A different use may be established for entry and exit. There will also be requirements for distance between stops in order to maintain the safety distance between workers, customers and pedestrians, who will use the mask at all times. Once the sales activity is finished and all the stops have been collected, the floor and surfaces of the entire premises where the market has been developed will be cleaned and disinfected, as well as the entrances and exit areas.

Attention to citizens

Face-to-face care in all municipal departments and dependencies continues to be suspended, with the exception of the Citizen Service Office, which, by appointment only, will attend the public from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 14 pm; and the Department of Social Services, which will attend only emergency cases by appointment. This can be requested by calling 96 642 15 55 or by email servicios_socials@ayto-denia.es.

The rest of the departments of the Dénia City Council will provide service to the public electronically and by telephone. The contacts of the different areas are available on the website of the Dénia City Council (http://www.denia.es/adjuntos/temp/2021/mesures_gener.pdf).

These measures may be extended as the incidence of infections evolves, with attention and adaptation to any regulations or guidelines of state or regional competence that are issued.

From the town hall they appeal to all the residents of Dénia to respect the COVID-19 measures decreed by the Generalitat Valenciana, recommending that they stay informed of the latest news through official channels.
