The next November 25 commemorates the International Day Against Gender Violence. A day in which there is nothing to celebrate, but a lot to raise awareness. That is why the Department of Equality of the City of Dénia directed by Elisabet Cardona has made a strong commitment to activities full of content to raise awareness of this social scourge.
From the 16 to the 25 in November talks, theater, cinema, and several actions have been prepared on the street so that the message of struggle reaches the general public.
More than 100 students participate in the poster contest
Within the sensitization sessions on gender violence, year after year, a contest of illustrative posters is included among the alumni from 13 to 16 years of the Dénia educational centers. This year the winner was Aitana Cholbi Zaragoza, from IES Number 3, who has designed a poster in which the motto can be read Qui et vol, the vol lliure.
In total a hundred students from several centers of Dénia have participated, highlighting especially a large number of students from the IES Number 3.

Wednesday November 16
- 17: 00 hours: Meeting of Associations for Equality. It will be in the conference room of Municipal House of Culture and will encompass associations throughout the province. This event is organized by the Provincial Council of Alicante, which has chosen Dénia as one of the six venues in which to hold these meetings. The same will serve to coordinate activities among all associations for equality to make strength among all against this problem.
Thursday November 17
- 19: 00 hours: Talk Colloquium: Today we talk about ... minors exposed to gender violence. The professor of psychology and criminology at the University of Alicante, Carmelo Hernández Ramos, will speak on this subject at the Municipal House of Culture.
Sunday November 20
- 19: 00 hours: Film Forum. Documentary Girls new 24 hours, directed by Mabel Lozano, who will participate in the subsequent colloquium-debate.
Monday November 21
- 18: 00 hours: Awarding of Poster Contest prizes 25 for November. International Day Against Gender Violence at the Municipal House of Culture.
- Until December's 2: Exhibition Poster Competition in the Municipal House of Culture.
- 19: 00 hours: Charla Gender violence in adolescents, by psychologist Mayte Ahuir Roselló. In the 2 Classroom of the Youth Building
Tuesday 22 noviembre
- 19: 30 hours: Theater The Palau de Parèmia, a Món de Dones. In charge of Tarannà Teatre in the Social Center.
November 25 Friday. International Day against Gender Violence.
- From 10 to 14 hours: VII Vaccination Campaign Against Gender Violence. At the intersection of Diana street with Marqués de Campo. Organized by the MATRIA Association with the collaboration of the City of Dénia.
- 13: 00 hours: Commemoration of the International Day Against Gender Violence. In the Plaza del Consell. Reading and performance by the Escola de Teatre Comarcal Marina Alta and the students of the theater workshop of the Classrooms for the Third Age of Dénia
- From 25 to November 27: Street action No + Gender Violence. In the Plaza del Consell de Dénia. With the collaboration of UNED and the Joventut Council.
- 20: 00 hours: Cinema. Do not be afraid, by Montxo Armendáriz. In the 2 classroom of the Youth building.
Admission to all activities proposed in the program is free for anyone interested in participating.
